Happy Brirthday Bri!!! JESUS IS CALLING YOU BRI. Bri was 4yrs old. One Sunday morning as we were getting ready for church, Bri decides to throw a tantrum cuz she didnt want to wear what i had picked out for her to wear. Running late as always, i was getting frustrated that she hadnt changed into her outfit everytime i go check up on her. I told her that Jesus didnt care what she wore to church, as long as wed go visit Him at His House. Around that time, the phone rings and it was my mother calling to ask if we were going to church. An idea quickly popped into my mind and I responded to my mother by saying, good morning Jesus. Yes, we are going to visit you today. Can you please tell Brianna that you want her to go visit you too and it doesnt matter what she wears as long as she visits you. My mother of course rolled with it. Here Bri, its Jesus and he wants to talk to you. Bri slowly reaches out for the phone and says Hello. My mom on the other end tells her in a deep voice, trying to disguise her voice, Brianna, this is Jesus and i want you to come visit me today. I dont care what you wear. The important thing is that you come and visit me. So get up and get dressed. Bris eyes opened up as big as she could open them and said, ok then passes the phone back to me. I asked her, what did he say? She says, He wants me to get ready. So without hesitation she quickly hops out of bed and puts on the outfit I had picked out for her. As im walking out of her room i chuckled and whisper to mom, it worked. Ill c u at church. A few years went by and we hadnt had the Jesus phone call conversation in some years. Me, Jared Camarillo and Bri lay in bed one evening and had a conversation about Jesus. Jared must have been about 8 and Bri 7yrs old. In the middle of our conversation, Bri hops out of bed and says, oh yea mom, remember when Jesus called me? She caught me by surprise n didnt know how to respond to her. I thought, oh shoot! I never told her that it wasnt true. And truly by now shed know that we had fooled her. Before i could respond, jared let out a loud laugh bahahahaha!!! Jesus doesnt call people!!! I think he almost peed in his pants. I was trying sooo hard to hold back a laugh. Bri was still insisting, right mom He called me? Right he did? Initially i tried to say yes, that He had called Bri but there was no fooling Jared. He kept tellung me, mom youre lying. Tell her the truth. I had no choice but to tell her the truth. After explaining how gma pretended to be Jesus, the look on her face was so disappointing. And i felt like such a bad mother. And jared wasnt helping the situation any as he was still rolling around in bed laughing his heart out. After explaining all the details of the phone call, i go on to tell her that we all have a direct line to Jesus and that we dont even need a phone. All we need to do is call out His name and Hes there. Still now at age 13, im a proud mom to say that she still holds Jesus close to heart and I know she always will. Thank you Jesus for my beautiful daughter. Love you mija and hope you have a wonderful birthday. Truths only from here on out. But the part about kissing a boy, then u become pregnant is still true. :))
