Please remove if not appropriate; Wanted to buy several festive bunches of flowers this evening, from Sainsburys Newport, ready for a Christmas event tomorrow. Was pleased to see fresh buckets of flowers bring put on display, and decide which to purchase. I asked if I could have use of one of these flower buckets to transport them home, as my car doesnt have a big boot and thought they would be protected better standing in the foot well of the car. Was told it was impossible as ALL these buckets had to be returned to the depot and re- used. Fair enough, but surely one wouldnt be missed, And I could bring it back, but no. I asked 2 other staff members and was told the same. At no point did anyone ask me, how many bunches of flowers I required and was told the best they could do was give me the plastic flower bags, but that would mean laying the bunches down flat in my small car. Did a small shop and as I went though the checkout, I saw very clearly that several of these empty flower buckets were being re-used as dust bins!!!!! Petty jobs widths, your loss, I shall buy my flowers elsewhere and think more carefully about where I shop now. Was an almost daily shopper, no longer.
