Please settle a bet for me. I con-tend that rounders is by far a more civilized game than cricket OR association football. Far fewer homicides, wars and hooligans in rounders (now, I understand, known as base-ball. The argument is not limited to 1854 Knickerbocker rules, 1860 Beadles rules, but may even extend to the modern abomination played with a so-called desig-nated hitter. I am told that the experts on the nexus of criminal behavior represented by association football and cricket are Bryan Person, Adam Zand, Aaron Strout, and Gradon Tripp. Gentle-men, what say you? I hope this worthy debate garners a more boisterous response than my urgent Twitter request for household cleaning recommendations (the answer was acid and a bonfire, by the by).
