Have you ever felt a bit different from the general population of the planet Earth as a whole and have been looking for others who may be able to identify with? Do you like to live life in the present? Focusing on the NOW. The Proposal: We are interested in developing a small community of artistic/creative folks who are spiritual in nature and not necessarily religious. Practicing peace within oneself and extending it to others is the thread that I propose without necessarily a religious belief system having to be behind it, although having one, wouldnt disqualify you. The idea is pretty simple developing a sense of community where we can live and exercise our creative natures and engaging in some kind of productive endeavor whether it be arts/crafts, gardening, promoting peaceful co-existence among ourselves as a species and with Mother Earth, an alternative monetary system, etc.. etc.. We are posting this ad to find out if there is anyone else out there that might be interested in trying out something like this and would like meet and/or discuss some of the possibilities with us… Contact the Project Leader, Joel, if Interested @ 207-778-6100 The project leader owns a large structure/house with river frontage in a small Maine town. It was originally built in 1820 and has been used for many types of businesses since then. The location seems ideal for both living and working since the front of the facility faces the main road where it is easily accessed for business but out in back of the facility there are no visible signs of anything but nature and a beautiful view of the river. The building is rustic, and utilitarian in nature made to be lived in. It is NOT modern in the slightest. It reminds some people of stuff out of the 60s. Not everyone will appreciate the unique character or see the possibilities it holds but then this opportunity will not appeal to every one either. However, if this still seems like an interesting opportunity to you so far, let me narrow it down a little more for you... To be considered for inclusion in this opportunity you need a means of supporting oneself (ssi, job, self employment, etc.). - but a possibility exists to trade ones labor for lodging, as well (to start with) since the facility needs some renovation, cleaning and organizing). Your age is not an important factor in applying for this opportunity since it can appeal to a wide age range that might want to experience a alternative lifestyle of creative caring and sharing - however experience will be honored along with attitude - both are important qualities in my opinion in pursuit of such a lifestyle as is honesty with oneself and others is absolutely imperative for anything like this to work. The Project leader has accumulated many tools for myself over the years as he has been and still is self employed although he is now semi-retired (Sandblasting equipment, wood craving tools, spray equipment, stained glass and tools, leather and sewing equipment, basic wood shop tools and equipment, digital vinyl sign cutter and supplies.) We also have high speed internet and a computer network that is maintained for an on-line radio station I use promoting freedom of speech and expression. Joel does a regular and almost daily live show using an on-line chat room providing an inter-active live audience where he explores various metaphysical belief systems without endorsing any; however he does like the book A Course In Miracles and recommends the reading of the book if your interested in such subject matters and also he likes the philosophy of Zen.
