In an interview on CNN, businessman and Chaldean-American leader Mark Arabo described the atrocities being done to Christians by ISIS: “A Christian Holocaust is in our midst. We are actually calling this a Christian genocide… Day by day, it is getting worse and worse.” * “…There’s actually a park in Mosul where they actually beheaded children and put their heads on a stick… this is crimes against humanity. They are doing the most horrendous, the most heart-breaking crimes that you can think of.” * “They are absolutely killing every Christian they see. This is absolutely a genocide in every sense of the word. They want everyone to convert, and they want sharia law to be the law of the land.” Arabo stated that more than 300,000 Iraqis are currently fleeing Iraq for their lives and called upon neighboring governments to welcome these refugees into their countries. What ISIS is doing is heartbreaking, appalling and wrong. No nation, regardless of its people’s religion or ethnicity, should allow a mass murdering to happen, and we must hope that it is swiftly stopped. Dear Friends, Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts. We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated its staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed! Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region.
