Please take a moment to read this, and look at the page for our 1st of 4 benefit events planned to send aid to the Phillipines. Myself, Djo Fortunato, Thomas H. Finch and others have been working very hard to bring together a collection of 18 phenominal musical acts, several local artists, and local businesses with the intent to raise funds to send directly to 2 non-profits with which Djo and myself are directly associated with. The evenings will be overflowing with great music, wonderful art to be auctioned, and a chance to really have your donations make a huge difference in the lives of the survivors in the Phillipines. If you are not able to attend, please, please share this event so that we have the opportunity to get as much support for this cause as possible. 3 more events will follow, as well as a donation page where those who are not here in Portland and able to attend, may still donate through paypal to help us make a true impact. We have direct communication with 2 organizations in the islands trying to provide recovery, clean up, clothing, food, shelter, fresh water, generators, fuel, and also comfort in such devastating conditions. This cause is dear to my heart, as the Non-profit which I am connected to is run by very long time family friends of mine, and I was intending on going to volunteer as an art teacher in the schools they run, until a recent life change altered my timeline of that. I may not be there, for which I am grateful, but I can still do my part to help the people who are. PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD.
