Please take note that we are currently having a problem in the Brakpan, Springs Area with water supply. The Rand Water Board Reservoirs in Sallies are almost empty. This is causing us not to be able to supply to the residence and industries. This problem emanates from the electricity supply to the Mapleton Pump station, which Pumps water to Sallies. Rand water management is busy trying to resolve this issue. This will make it difficult for us to estimate the time when the water will be back to normal. We are organising water tankers for critical places, clinics. The areas affected so far are Brenthurst, Sallies Village, Vulcania, Brakpan North, Kenleaf, Dalpark, Casseldale, Strubenvale also Tsakane. Please announce this for us on the Radios so our consumers can know. We hope the problem will be rectified soon before it starts to impact on other surrounding areas.
