***Police Activity*** 11/2/14 – 11/15/14 11/3 – 400 block of Cypress St – An Officer was dispatched to the report of a gas line break. 11/4 – N Loyalsock @ Fairview – An Officer responded to the report of a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was not located. 11/4 – 900 block of Weldon St – An Officer took a report that someone had shot paintballs at the complainant’s house. Anyone with information please contact Police. 11/4 – 900 block of Elm St – A person found a jacket with keys inside and turned them into Police. The owner was located and the items were returned. 11/5 – Walnut and Spruce – An Officer responded to a vehicle crash involving two vehicle with no injuries. One vehicle was towed. 11/5 – 900 block of Broad St – An Officer took a report of a hit and run. There were no injuires. 11/5 – Walmart – An Officer responded to the store for the report of a man acting strangely dressed all in camo. The Officer located a man wearing a tactical style military vest. The Officer determined the man was mentally challenged and was not a threat. His mother was located and she stated he just liked to wear camo. 11/5 – Broad St – An Officer responded to the report of a suicidal male. Contact was made and the male was escorted to the hospital for treatment. 11/5 – 1400 block of Jordan Ave – An Officer responded to the report of a medical alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm. 11/6 – Montour @ Spruce – An Officer staked out a location based on a report of an intoxicated man littering every morning. The Officer caught the male throwing a beer can on the ground and was cited. 11/6 – I-180 E near Indian Park – An Officer responded to the report of a cardio vascular attack on the Highway. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a possible heroin overdose. The passenger was taken to the hospital and the Officer spoke with the driver. A search of the vehicle was conducted and an un-capped syringe was located under the seat of the patient. Also, hidden behind the carpeting in the truck of the car, the Officer found items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine. The investigation continues. 11/7 – J+R Tavern – An Officer responded to the report of a disturbance between two females. Upon arrival, the bartender asked the two involved be removed from the property. The Officer made contact with the two and asked them to leave and not return. 11/7 – 200 block of Broad St – An Officer responded to the report of harassment. The Officer made contact with the offender and ordered him not to have any further contact with the complainant. 11/7 – Turkey Hill – An Officer was dispatched to the store for the report of a fight in the parking lot. The Officer was in sight of the store at the time of the call and did not see anything. The Officer made contact with the employee who stated nothing had happened. This is being investigated as a possible false report. 11/7 – Turkey Hill – An Officer responded for the report of a fall victim. Upon arrival, it was learned that the victim fell due to heavy intoxication. The male blew into a portable breathe test machine and registered a .228% BAC. The male was transported to the hospital and will receive a citation for Public Drunkenness. 11/7 – I-180 E – An Officer responded to the report of a reckless driver on the highway. The Officer was able to find the vehicle and clocked the vehicle speeding at 94.7mph. The driver was cited. 11/8 – Indian Park – A spare tire was turned in to this office after it was found near a speed bump. Anyone missing a spare tire please contact Police. 11/8 – Rockey Ln – An Officer responded to the report that two people had barricaded themselves inside woman’s bedroom. The Officer learned the complainant had Alzheimer’s and there was no one in the bedroom. 11/9 – 300 block of N Montour St – An Officer responded to the report of a burglar alarm. The Officer determined it to be a false alarm. 11/10 – 10 block of S Montour St – An Officer took a report that a bottle of prescription medicine was stolen. The complainant later call and stated she found the pills. 11/10 – 200 block of Howard St – An Officer took a report that someone was illegally dumping trash into the dumpster of the complainant. The investigation continues. 11/10 – 300 block of N Loyalsock Ave – An Officer took a report of stolen key fobs and keys. The investigation continues. 11/10 – 10 block of Mill St – Employees of the Sunoco station found a license plate and turned it in to Police. The Officer located the owner and retuned the plate. 11/10 – Judge Whiteman’s Office – An Officer was waiting in the court room for a hearing when the defendant for another case started having a seizure. The Officer had a Trooper call 911 for an ambulance. The Officer administered care until EMS arrived. The male did regain consciousness and was transported to the hospital. 11/11 – 500 block of N Washington St – An Officer took a report that a screen door was damaged. The Officer noted that it was a windy day and believes the wind blew the door open causing the damage. 11/11 – Claire @ Cypress – An Officer took a report that a bike was left lying on the side of the road. The Officer picked the bike up and transported it to the Office. The bike was a black BMX style dirt bike. 11/11 – 700 block of Weldon St – An Officer was dispatched to the report of a person having chest pains. 11/12 – I-180 W – An Officer clocked a vehicle speeding on the highway. The driver had called 911 to report a medical emergency. The Officer had the 911 dispatcher tell the driver to slow to a safer speed. The Officer escorted the driver to the emergency room where it was confirmed that a medical emergency was in fact occurring. No citations were issued for speeding. 11/12 – 200 block of Church Alley – An Officer picked up a bike that was abandoned on the complainant’s property. The bike was orange, but spray painted black. 11/12 – 300 block of Broad St – An Officer responded to a vehicle crash involving two vehicles and no injuries. The Officer determined a vehicle had rear ended the other vehicle. The driver of the offending vehicle claimed his brakes didn’t work. The Officer checked the brakes and they were working fine at that time. A tow truck was called to tow the offending vehicle. 11/12 – A woman entered the State Police Barracks to make a complaint. The woman was a resident of Montoursville so and Officer responded. The woman was complaining that someone had poisoned her hot water heater and she had a water sample with her. The Officer recognized the woman as mentally challenged from prior interactions involving other outrageous claims. 11/14 – Wendy’s – An Officer responded to a disturbance in the store. The Officer learned that a customer was creating a disturbance claiming she got the wrong order. The Manager stated she comes and complains all the time to try and get free food. The manager stated he was done with the scam and asked that she be given notice against trespassing. The notice was given and she left without a problem. 11/14 – 900 block of Plaza Dr – An Officer took a report that someone had struck a concrete pole in the parking lot. 11/15 – I-180 – An Officer came across an abandoned vehicle. Contact was made with the owner who stated she ran out of gas and would have it removed soon. 11/15 – Nicely @ Cypress – An Officer responded to a vehicle crash involving a vehicle into a stop sign with no injuries. 11/16 – 1000 block of Arthur Rd – An Officer took a report that someone had thrown a pumpkin at the complainant’s house. No damage was done.
