Police Investigate Non-Fatal Shooting Incident On Saturday, December 27, 2014, at approximately 10:00 PM Worcester police received a report of gunshots near Ashton Street and Windsor Street. Upon arrival, officers were directed to a 19-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was treated at UMass Memorial Medical Center. His injuries were not considered life-threatening. The victim originally told police that he was shot by a group of males who stole his cell phone. However, the victim was found to be in possession of the phone that he reported stolen. Officers found ballistic evidence on McKinley road. There is limited suspect (s) information at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
