Police News Posted on: August 7, 2013 Frederick Police capture Strong Arm Robbery suspect On 08/06/2013 just after 10:00 pm Officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 200 Block of Rockwell Terrace for a report of an assault. Upon arrival the victim advised she was assaulted on her front porch by a male that followed her while she was walking home. The victim was not injured and was able to give a good description of the suspect. The victim further stated the male advised he had a gun and attempted to take the keys to her vehicle. The male eventually fled the area on foot. A K-9 track and search of the area was unsuccessful. OFC. Donovan was able to relay the description of the suspect to other officers. Several hours later a suspect matching the description was located by OFC. Sparks in the downtown area. The suspect, later identified as Joshua Colonna Jones, was detained and positively identified by the victim. At the time of this press release Mr. Jones is being processed into the FCADC on the following charges; Attempted Robbery, and 2nd Degree assault.
