Police Scotland - APPEAL FOR WITNESSES Theft – Dumfries Police are investigating the theft of 57 bottles of spirits with a value of over £1200 from the Tesco Store in Lockerbie Road, Dumfries. The theft happened at around 1730 hours on Wednesday 1 October 2014 and appeared to be committed by four men (not further described) who placed the drink into a trolley before leaving the store. The spirits include mainly whisky, malt whisky and cognac. Theft – Brydekirk A set of folding aluminium ladders were stolen from a house in Bridge Street in Brydekirk sometime around 2200 hours on Thursday 2 October 2014. Theft – Lockerbie About 30-35 used batteries have been stolen from the Recycling Depot at Lockerbie sometime overnight Thursday 2/Friday 3 October 2014. Vandalisms – Lockerbie Police in Lockerbie are investigating the report of a number of vandalisms to cars which were parked in the Dryfesdale Court and Well Road area of Lockerbie on the evening of Saturday 4 October 20124. A number of cars including a Subaru, a Mazda 2, a Ford Focus, a Vauxhall Vectra, an Audi A3 and a VW Polo were all damaged. A number of other cars had wing mirrors pushed back, although they were not damaged as such. A house in Dryfesdale Court also had stones thrown at windows and the door, which sustained a crack in the glass. This happened at around 2220 hours on Saturday 4 October 2014. Vandalism – Annan The window at Solway Office Supplies in High Street in Annan has been smashed sometime on Saturday 4/Sunday 5 October 2014. The window is valued at around £3000. Theft – Gretna Police want to trace the following two people who are responsible for the theft of a quantity of clothing from the Polo Ralph Lauren shop at the Gretna Gateway Centre at around 1445 hours on Sunday 5 October 2014. They were seen filling a bag with t-shirts and then leaving the store. The value of the six t-shirts stolen is around £175. They are described a (1) Male, 5’6” tall, slim to medium build, short brown hair, moustache, wearing a navy blue jacket, dark jeans and white trainers. He was carrying four carrier bags. (2) Female, 5’7” tall, medium build, bleached blond hair tied back, wearing a black cloak with a fur collar, black jeans and black pumps. Suspicious Incident - Kirkcolm Police have received the report of a naked man on the beach at Kirkcolm at around 1300 hours on Thursday 2 October 2014. The man was spotted by a woman out walking her dog. He was initially seen sitting on a rock next to the coastal path and then standing in the sea up to his knees. The woman who passed the man as he returned to the path was startled by the sight. The man did not speak to the lady at any point. He is described as being about 5’10” tall, in his late 50s/early 60s, well built, balding, and had a well tanned skin.
