Police Surround UPND Officials in Rural Chinsali The Zambia Police have continued their intimidation of opposition political parties by surrounding Titanic Lodge in Kasama where opposition United Party for National Development are holding an indoor meeting. UPND Deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba said the police surrounded the lodge as early as 06:00 hours. “Police surrounded the Titanic lodge where we spent the night as early as 6am and instructed us not to continue with our indoor meetings in Chisali because they had instructions from senior authorities not to allow us,” Simusamba has revealed via social media. “The UPND delegation which includes Hon Mutale Nalumango, myself, Hon Bernard Mpundu had defied the police. If ‘Summer’ [Wynter] Kabimba is being allowed to have meetings, why is the opposition being stopped?
