Police are appealing for information after a 23-year-old man was assaulted in Doncaster while walking home from a New Year’s Eve party. At around 3am on Thursday 1 January, it is reported that the 23-year-old was walking along North Bridge Road, Doncaster, in the direction of the town centre. It is alleged that he was assaulted by one of two unknown men, sustaining a serious facial injury that required hospital treatment. The men are described as being white, aged between 25 and 30-years-old, around 5ft 10ins tall and of average build. Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 244 of 7 January 2015. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
