Police are appealing for information after a cyclist and car collided in Tempe. About 8.50pm yesterday (Tuesday 17 June 2014), a cyclist left the footpath and began travelling on Holbeach Avenue, when it collided with a Toyota Camry. Despite wearing a helmet, the 32-year-old male cyclist suffered major facial and head injuries and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred where he remains in a critical condition. The 24-year-old driver of the Toyota was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests. A crime scene was established and examined by forensic specialists. Police continue to make inquiries into the incident are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
