Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated robbery in Blakehurst early this morning (Sunday 26 January 2014). About 12.30am, three 20-year-old men were sitting in a car on Woniora Road, Blakehurst, when two men approached the car. One of the men punched one of the 20-year-old men in the face and he fell to the ground, where he was then kicked. The second man kicked one of the other 20-year-old men in the head and stomach. The men stole the two men’s wallets and mobile phones, before driving away in a dark coloured sedan. Police were contacted and officers from St George Local Area Command commenced an investigation. Two of the men were treated at the scene and one was taken to St George Hospital for treatment for facial injuries. Investigators would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with inquiries. One is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 192cm tall, stocky build, aged in 20’s, short dark hair and wearing a red and white polo shirt. The is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 183cm tall, stocky build, aged between 20-25 years, and wearing dark clothing.
