Police are assisting the organisers of the Old Gaffers Festival at Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight with a change of park-and-ride arrangements due to ground conditions at Bouldnor. A new park-and-ride site has been arranged and is now open in a field on Hill Lane in Freshwater at the top of Halletts Shute. Organisers and police advise motorists to travel to the Hill Lane park-and-ride field from the Freshwater direction. Organisers say parking is £5 per vehicle. This includes the cost of a regular return shuttle bus service to the Old Gaffers Festival site all weekend. Old Gaffers Festival organisers and the West Wight Safer Neighbourhoods team @WestWightPolice would like to thank the public for their patience, understanding and co-operation.
