Police are investigating a serious criminal trespass at a Wattle - TopicsExpress

Police are investigating a serious criminal trespass at a Wattle Park supermarket this morning, where suspects have used a car to break open an ATM. At about 3.10am, patrols were called to the IGA Supermarket on Kensington Road after reports that the front doors had been broken. A maroon VT Holden Calais sedan, with South Australian registration of WER-181, was seen speeding away from the area. The car was pursued by police for a short time, but the pursuit was terminated shortly after. The ATM had been emptied by staff last night, so the thieves left empty-handed. Police believe the same vehicle was used in a series of robberies and assaults last weekend at Welland. If anyone knows the car’s whereabouts, or sees the Calais please call the Police Assistance line on 131444 immediately.
