Police are investigating the theft of a shotgun and ammunition during a break and enter at a house in Mungindi, north of Moree, earlier in the week. Between 10pm on Tuesday 8 July and 11:15am on Saturday 12 July 2014, a house on Bucknell Street was broken into with a .410 single barrel shotgun and ammunition stolen from the premises. Police from Barwon Local Area Command were called to the house and conducted a canvas of the area. They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the break-in or has information about the whereabouts of the firearm is to contact Mungindi Police or Crime Stoppers. Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/.
