Police are trained to be in control. This term control is often misinterpreted as show Power or Authority. As a human, this officer simply does not exhibit self control from a position of authority. With race out out the question in this example, it seems to me that police academy training and the like are severely flawed, in that again and a again and again we find police officers using excessive (and sometimes fatal) force in non-threatening situations. If it is not the training, then it must be the lack of consequences for those in violation of their ethical and professional duty to those whom they serve. Any Teacher can tell you, if everybody does the assignment except for two students, and there is no penalty at all for those whom did not submit the work, 2 more will likely refuse to turn in a future assignment. Police are unable to show ethical discretion not because they are evil human beings, but rather because they are poorly trained in the social psychology of authority and interaction and because they have countless examples of fellow officers getting paid vacations as a result of unethical behavior on the job. #TruthSyrum
