Police arrested Mukhtar Waza in Awantipora, foiled party meeting: Srinagar, June 19 : Police today foiled the party meeting of Jammu and Kashmir people league in Awantipora area of Pulwama district and arrested Party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in the area when he along with dozens of party leaders and activists reached the meeting venue. Party Spokesman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi condemned the police action and said that meeting was conveyed to take stock of the preparations by the party regarding celebration of Golden Jubilee of Awami Action Committee. He termed the detention of Party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza as sheer frustration of puppet authorities
