Police have charged a man following an alleged robbery and assault in Wyoming this morning. About 1.20am (Wednesday 29 January 2014), a 61-year-old man was walking towards his parked car at a service station on Henry Parry Drive, when a 36-year-old man allegedly assaulted him, causing him to fall to the ground. It’s alleged the younger man then fled the scene in the older man’s car. Police were called and a crime scene was established. Following investigations, about 4am police arrested a 36-year-old man at Kariong. He was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with robbery, stealing, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, take and drive conveyance and drive whilst unlicensed. He was refused bail, to appear at Gosford Local Court today (Wednesday 29 January 2014). The injured man was treated at the scene for cuts and bruises.
