Police in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage in Ballyclare on the afternoon of Saturday 19 July. At approximately 3.15pm, a car was driving from the Doagh side past a park in the Burnside Road area when a rock was thrown and hit the windscreen. Although the windscreen didnt shatter, pieces of glass went in on the female driver. She was not injured but was left badly shaken. Anyone with any information about this is asked to contact Newtownabbey Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
