Police in Sydney’s south west are appealing for public assistance after a man was seen performing a lewd act at Yagoona. A 17-year-old girl was walking along Glassop Street about 10.15am on Tuesday (29 April 2014) when a brown 4WD stopped near her. Police have been told the driver attempted to speak with the girl while committing a lewd act. She reported the incident to police yesterday and officers from Bankstown Local Area Command commenced inquiries. Investigators are appealing for public assistance in an attempt to identify and locate the man involved. He’s described as being of Mediterranean / Middle Eastern appearance, aged between 20 and 30 years, with short black hair and tanned skin. He was wearing a dark jacket and jeans. The vehicle is described as being an older-model brown 4WD.
