Police should not use tazers on students. Moreover, police should be re-trained to know how to intelligently deal with anyone with potential emotional, mental health, developmental, hearing, seeing, or behavioral problems without resorting to tazing. Tasers, like guns, which are dangerous and sometimes lethal, should be a last resort. Police should be trained to know how to talk to individuals, check out if the person is developmentally or hearing impaired, speaks English, etc. Talking with the person, without preconceived notions, assumptions, or conclusions, should be the primary method in dealing with the public.
