Police summarily arresting student protesters, in this case - TopicsExpress

Police summarily arresting student protesters, in this case targeting the democratically elected President of the University of London Students Union for organising a protest at the unions summary closure by the university. These are the actions of a police state, not a liberal democracy. Its completely unacceptable. His bail conditions include an outright ban on demonstrating within a half mile of the university. I for one have had enough of this and the attendant hypocrisy of MPs and other dupes claiming we live in a free society where freedom of expression or free speech are more than hollowed out liberal mantras that ultimately cover up and perpetuate the genuine conditions of oppression, censorship and state violence that actually obtain. AKA: SCREW THIS. independent.co.uk/student/news/students-outraged-as-ulu-president-michael-chessum-arrested-in-attack-on-the-right-to-protest-8940329.html
