Police take evasive action, before driver is caught drink driving - Royal National Park Patrolling Police within the Royal National Park allege they took evasive action after an oncoming vehicle crossed on to the incorrect side of the road while travelling on Bundeena Dr, Royal National Park 2 weeks ago. Around 7.15pm on Saturday 21 September 2013, Police turned around and caught the vehicle, where they allege the driver reached speeds of more than 60km/h over the legal 80km/h limit. Police stopped the vehicle and submitted the 27 year old Sanctuary Point male driver to a RBT, which allegedly returned a positive result. The male was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station, where he allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.120. His licence was immediately suspended and charged with exceed speed over 30km/h and mid range PCA. He is due to appear before Sutherland Local Court on 10 October 2013.
