By Apostle Wil Hamilton Earlier today, I wrote a post entitled 3 PILLARS THAT ARE PERTINENT TO APOSTOLIC OFFICE AND FUNCTION, and mentioned something concerning the seventh level of prayer. Tonight, I was in boxed by a fellow Apostle; who wanted to know where I got such powerful information as he put it, and he asked me to clarify what are the 7 Levels of Prayer. First, let me give all honor & glory to God Almighty; without whom I can speak a Word of His Word, except He give it to me by divine revelation. So, without further delay, here are the Seven Levels of Prayer. Level 1: Acknowledge & surrender. The place where God will reveal all to you concerning you; the good, the bad & the ugly. Your only answer should be Yes Lord, and submission to all He says. Level 2: Repent & forgive. Do not use this as an opportunity to apologize to God. Make it a resolve within yourself that you are turning away from all the wrong (sin) God has revealed to you, and that you are not going to look back to ever go back into it again. Be in prostration; which is a position of total surrender & piety. Once youve received the forgiveness of God, accept it, by forgiving yourself, and not walking in condemnation of your past. (2 Cor. 5:17) Level 3: Petition. Develop a very consistent & powerful prayer life. Never first approach God with your hands out, but instead with your hands up as a sign of surrender & readiness to receive. Above all, remember that Jesus died to give you access, to come before the Father boldly. Make all of your requests be made known to Him, because he already knows what youre going to ask of Him before you even open your mouth to speak. Level 4: Praise & worship (stage 1). Enter into the courts of His presence with a gift, that is deemed worthy for Him to receive, and that starts with a Praise. Show Him your attitude of gratitude, by giving Him thanks for all things, everything & anything. Bless Him for who He is, not what Hes able to do for you. Intermingle your praise with some Worship, by telling Him all that He means to you. Level 5: Intercession. This is where the prayer is no longer about you, but about the Kingdom and its inhabitants. Begin to pray for family, friends, all of the church members, church leaders, City-State-National leaders. Those who are in desperate need of prayer, and make their priorities and needs above your own. Level 6: Holy Spirit intercession. At this time our subjects for consideration shall be, firstly, the help which the Holy Spirit gives; secondly, the prayers which He inspires; and thirdly, the success which such prayers are certain to obtain. The help which the Holy Ghost renders to us meets the weakness which we deplore. As I have often said, if in time of trouble a man can pray, his burden loses its weight. If the believer can take anything and everything to God, then he learns to glory in infirmity, and to rejoice in tribulation; but sometimes we are in such confusion of mind that we know not what we should pray for as we ought. In a measure, through our ignorance, we never know what we should pray for until we are taught of the Spirit of God, but there are times when this beclouding of the soul is dense indeed, and we do not even know what would help us out of our trouble if we could obtain it. Coming to our aid in our bewilderment he instructs us. This is one of his frequent operations upon the mind of the believer: he shall teach you all things. He instructs us as to our need, and as to the promises of God which refer to that need. He shows us where our deficiencies are, what our sins are, and what our necessities are; he sheds a light upon our condition, and makes us feel deeply our helplessness, sinfulness, and dire poverty; and then he casts the same light upon the promises of the Word, and lays home to the heart that very text which was intended to meet the occasion—the precise promise which was framed with foresight of our present distress. Level 7: True Worship (stage 2). First, there is the motivation to worship: being thankful for the “the mercies of God.” God’s mercies are everything He has given us that we don’t deserve: eternal love, eternal grace, the Holy Spirit, everlasting peace, eternal joy, saving faith, comfort, strength, wisdom, hope, patience, kindness, honor, glory, righteousness, security, eternal life, forgiveness, reconciliation, justification, sanctification, freedom, intercession and much more. The knowledge and understanding of these incredible gifts motivate us to pour forth humility and thanksgiving—in a most spiritual intimate form; in other words, worship! It is conviction followed by affection, affection that is a response to truth, not to any external stimuli, including music. Music as such has nothing to do with worship. Music can’t produce worship, although it certainly can produce emotion. Music is not the origin of worship, but it can be the expression of it. Do not look to music to induce your worship; look to music as simply an expression of that which is induced by a heart that is rapt by the mercies of God, obedient to His commands. True worship is God-centered worship. People tend to get caught up in where they should worship, what music they should sing in worship, and how their worship looks to other people. Focusing on these things misses the point. Jesus tells us that true worshipers will worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). This means we worship from the heart and the way God has designed. Worship can include praying, reading Gods Word with an open heart, singing, participating in communion, and serving others. It is not limited to one act, but is done properly when the heart and attitude of the person are in the right place. Selah Bishop CJ Effort Thank you for your obedience to God!
