What is the most appropriate action for an awakened or spiritually - TopicsExpress

What is the most appropriate action for an awakened or spiritually aligned being, when there is an outbreak of violence? What is the most effective way to heal the conflict or to restrain the aggressor while easing the pain of those being aggressed? What to do when we feel the pangs of injustice right in our stomachs and our heart is aching with compassion for the victims? Especially when the victims are the most vulnerable, most defenseless, when the casualties are children, elderly, women who have been targeted by the shelling of rockets without any discrimination? What are we to do when faced with the rise of violence? How to make our voice heard and what would be the most sound response to the aggression which uses the state-of-art weaponry against civilian populations? The answer to these and similar questions are of critical value, for any spiritually minded person if we are to make any real impact and if we are to counterbalance violence whenever it is on the rise. Although it is tempting to take sides in any conflict–at times almost impossible not to, especially when the obviousness of a conflict rears at us its ugly head–we are advised to go inward to see where this conflict actually arises. This takes courage and understanding, it takes some education on what and how everything manifests in this world. By refraining from being involved in the conflict we are not adding to it more energy. This is the first step. We are advised to go inward and we are asked to access the innermost areas of our being so us to heal the conflict within. The loss of equilibrium from being to being, from tribe to tribe, from nation to nation is the underlying cause for escalation of violence. It is a build up of unrest and strain on a collective level manifesting as a deep-seated stress anywhere at any time. So, the second step is regaining that equilibrium within, by giving ourselves to deeper mediation and by abiding in silence. By remaining in a state of equilibrium we are utilizing much greater power, simply because we are in direct contact with the subtle laws of nature working from that level of reality where everything rises to the surface. It is working from that level where a spiritual warrior wins the battle. Maintaining ones inner peace is that third step. This is not shutting our eyes, mind and heart from an actuality of horror of any tragedy, genocide or injustice. Far from it! It is to understand where our actions and our intentions could be of much greater value than spending our energy on the arguments even if they have a righteous basis beneath it. No matter how compassionate we feel or how compelling or tragic the situation may seem, we need to realize that everything is energy, and every inwardly generated impulse agitates the surface layer of creation. Hence we are better off at agitating this reality, from that subtlest level, where we are being rooted in deep peace, equanimity and light of our own awareness. Where we manifest the very qualities these subtler levels represent. When there is violence raging on, our anger no matter how justified it may be, only fans the flames and adds more heat to a conflict. Remaining in equanimity and maintaining an equilibrium is that water that extinguishes the flames. It is that lightest touch that is needed to seal the rupture and to heal the wounds from the monstrosities of the age of darkness. And we need to be patient and steady knowing that it would take some time before the implementation of these methodologies of consciousness are adopted by governing bodies to prevent war and to maintain peace. Until then its in our hands, and as Friedrich Nietzsche said: Thoughts that come on doves feet guide the world…. So, be that first step. Be that dove of peace. Be that Peace.
