Police unsuccessfully deployed a taser early Monday morning before eventually taking a man into custody. Police attempted to pull over a vehicle that failed to stop at a 4-way stop on Pasqua Street and 7th Avenue, but it accelerated through a red light on 7th Avenue and Lewvan Drive. Police ordered one man who was attempting to flee to stop, but when the suspect continued running at police, they tried to tase him. The weapon had no effect on the suspect and he continued to run. The canine unit tracked down the 31 year-old man a short time later and he was arrested. Police also arrested another 28 year-old man nearby.
