Police waged hours-long gunbattles with Islamic militants who attacked Chechnyas capital Grozny Thursday, leaving at least 20 people dead, 10 of them police. He fought alongside Shamil Basayev. Shamil Basayev, one of those originally trained by the CIA & ISI, claimed responsibility for the Beslan school siege. In July 2006, Basayev was killed in an explosion near the border of North Ossetia. Both are TERRORISTS - not rebels...
