Policy statement of Awami Jamhoori Party (AJP) on current political scenario of Pakistan. Mr. Karam Wassan, Mr. Mukhtiar Abbasi, Mr. Abrar Kazi and Vishno Mal Said. The 17 days’ circus in Islamabad has clearly shown to all the people of Pakistan that behind Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri’s instigation and rabble rousing speeches, stand such forces in Pakistan that have sabotaged democratic process in the country time and again. The democratic and tolerant people of Sindh have given tremendous sacrifices for democracy and rule of law including the blood of their most illusions leaders in the hope that vital decisions concerning their lives will be taken by their representatives rather than such institutions in which Sindhi people have no representation. In fact Sindh and Sindhi people have suffered the most under military rule. History shows that fascist setups like MQM and Jihadi groups are created by the army and for civilian facade the army chooses the most regressive jagindares of Sindh and catapults then into the leaders of Sindh. It is therefore that Awami Jamhoori Party, despite Nawaz Sharifs glaring anti Sindh policies and actions of past and present, and despite the most inept and corrupt pp government in Sindh, stands for the continuity of the present elected government and suggests to Nawaz Sharif to stand firm in the face of the great challenge to the democratic process. AJP is of the opinion that Imran Khan who was a hope for the future of Pakistan especially among young people has committed political suicide by becoming a willing pawn in the hands of anti democratic forces. However the AJP feels that the electoral reforms demanded by the agitators should be immediately put into the process of serious consideration and implementation. The statement of Altaf Hussain inviting the Army to intervene and takeover is a clear proof that MQM is army’s B team and always acts as directed by the Army. All MQM’s prodemocracy statements and policies are a camouflage hiding its true face. AJP warns PP and the Sindh government of Qaim Ali Shah that once the dust settles in Islamabad the Sindhi people’s attention will divert to the dismal performance and monumental corruption of the rank and file of the Peoples party. Hence forth the PP will be watched as if through a microscope.
