Politicians: Are they acting? Ive seen some pretty gruesome pictures bubbling to the surface lately. Is this for real? My thirteenth birthday was on 6/6/06 and thats the only thing I was on time for in my life. Their eyes see some pretty unlucky and unholy numbers bundled together here. My own mother would swear I was the devil if I werent so sweet. Now I cant differentiate whether or not the serpent who rests in the tree of knowledge cautioning man not to eat the apple of his eye and not to spread the word was more than just a figment of his own imagination. Is the serpent in the tree real or self made-- like all the infrastructure of the world, built upon a melting clock. I went to heaven today. Thats the name of a hiking trail. Technically its trespassing on sacred rocks. There are steal gates and I had to crawl through a hole above a locked door. Navigating from rock shelf to shelf I approached an opening in the cave which overlooked the amphitheater. This cave is called the circle of friends, last time I was here I saw Kelsey Sample and Alex Stolbof, before the gates were installed. Theres a $1000 maximum fine, so I rose early in the morning hoping I wouldnt attract too much attention. My friend Michael Allen got stopped up there once and got a $50 dollar ticket and a free trip to the Taj Mahal in Golden to go see a judge. Further up, out of the cave, out in the wide open, there are stairs carved into the rocks. If you squint, you can see them from the highway bend. They go to the highest point. I was there at sunrise, but I had to go alone. Nobody ever wants to get up that early or risk the trip. Those steps will give you vertigo, especially at the gap. As I rested two falcons were circling me and one kept screeching. I sat still and they both landed. A man in a yellow vest started yelling at me as I climbed down. I put my headphones in and and told him that I could not hear him. Haste makes waste, I try to encourage my self. Practice patience and grace. Slowly and carefully I walked down to where he was standing and he was gone. I read the sign that was posted there. It showed a schedule of how big an exercise group was allowed to be on specific days of the week. It requested that after-hours music in the amphitheater be enjoyed via headphones only. It asked civilians to make efforts not to disturb the peace of the rocks for others. I admired the summit. From where I stood the man and his sign looked like an ant. From where I stand now, I can still imagine the falcons screech. I passed the sign and assented an array of steps to the top of the amphitheater. Descending the spiral staircase of the visitors center, I took a right turn into the hall of fame. It was locked last time I was here and I passed a dreaded man in a wookey suit as I went left into the rest room. Further down the hall was the autograph of David Grohl, among other greats. Maynards autograph is the same as the third flag of the summit. Tool. On the back patio there is a gas fireplace. Just inside the sliding doors the ground holds a carving of the time tree of life. Where do I stand?
