Politics at play... Just a couple days before the delegates meet in Mon Repos Claudius Preville put his hat in the ring. Not only had he done that he is ready to challenge the current leader Allen Chastanet. Now, the honchos in the UWP don’t want Richard Frederick in the party. Richard said he is willing to work with anyone except Chastanet. Will Preville distance himself from Richard Frederick? Claudius Preville is also very close to the former chairman of the united workers party, the former chairman is not close to Richard. What will Preville do? He need Central delegate, Castries north and also Choiseul which Rufus still has a strong influence on the delegates. Preville is one of those who wanted to see the back of Richard. Will Richard be use by Preville? Preville who wants uwp supporters and the rest of St.Lucia to see as the unifier don’t want to step on Allen’s toes though he doesn’t have a seat but has strong influence on the delegates. He also and knows that he need Castries central and Castries north should he win the leadership and put his hand on the big price. Preville being the strategist and an insider of the united workers party should be aware as to where the finances are going to come from if Chastanet is out the BIG MONEY IS OUT TO. One thing I know that UWP is not seeing an election victory with Chastanet but removing Chastanet is removing the money and the honchos. Very interesting is which constituency will nominate preville on Sunday. In the mean time I sit and wait the result of politics at play.
