Politics is war without blood while war is politics with blood, l remember sometimes in April 2003 after the Governorship election in which Osoba lost he called a meeting at the Presidential Lodge and in the presence of everyone at the meeting he bursted into tears and said you all warned me to beware of Obasanjo but l refused. to listen now l have paid for it but like the saying History repeat itself twice from all meetings held so far Amosun has made up his mind to dump APC for Accord Party at the meeting he held with some selected APC leaders last Friday which have PDP decampees in majority he told the meeting some challenges he has been facing in the APC and how some leaders expected him to be prostrating about for them before he can get second term ticket he said instead of that he would rather defect to another Party, he said in 2007 only him bankrolled ANPP when he was just a former Senator how much more now that he has served as Governor with money, power of incubency and with a lots of projects to showcase,the leaders at the meeting implored him to exercise patience as a Committe was set up to go and meet Chief Osoba with Olive leaves but Osoba has given 6 terms,first of the term was that he can never again sit with Amosun for any reason to negotiate or talk he said he does not mind if Olumide his son loses his election because of it,Amosun who use to boast that he would be the last man standing is seriously feeling the heat,before now most APC Governors especially from Southwest had called him and advised him to find ways of finding a working relationship with Osoba but he refused to take their counsel even Niyi Adebayo that signed his form of good conduct then they are no longer on talking terms so he doesnt have anyone to run to, presently Egbetokun who is now the Apagun Onadipe of Amosun Government has started recruiting in his PDP associates as leaders though he too has his interior motives but has always want Amosun to form his own party with people of likes mind and empower them so as to defect,ln APC meeting now the newly decampe PDP are leaders steering meetings in ljebu. Ode it is Debasco,ln ljebu North it is Oshin and in Remo North it is Sowemimo but Amosun is not leaving APC that cheaply but will fight and tear the Party to. pieces,just a week ago N2m was sent to each secret cult group for acknowledgement,these are groups he hinterto treat as leper,also in his desperate moves he has been reaching out to his former antagonists who left the Party for him inducing them with monetary gift like Emiola Gazal and others,Osoba group Matagbatole is growing in leaps and bound,Fatai Fola Adeola has been prevailed on and he has agreed to contest the Governorship but still keeping it to his heart,the National Assembly members from Ogun State held a meeting with Senator Remi Tinubu and told her all that is happening to the Party in the State,the NASS members has also book an appointment with Tinubu and other leaders of the Party to brief them,Amosun who only trust the people who has been with him since 2007 because of serial fetish oathes they have undergone for him forgot that in politics it is easier for a new entrant to win a election than a second termer and gradually he is getting distracted but come to think of it,is the progressive Party cursed in this State? wont there be anyone who will break Danuel 8 years? and just last week Asiwaju Tinubu was overheard speaking on phone to an Ogun State Oba and he said all the complains lm getting on this your Amosun governor are too much Still on Accord Party a caucus meeting was held today Sunday another one has been called for Monday by 2pm at Gateway Hall we will keep you posted.
