a serpent spins and writhes in the fire that is the moonlight bound and fettered by those that would seek to contain it to hold it to make their their prize held high above all others we are such fickle and proud creatures to think we have a right to do such things or that such strong spirits will stand that treatment for long some are lucky to be alive It is funny how blind people are to their own downfall how they destroy that which they desire so much by the love and selfish insecurities that they wave about like a banner like only they hold the key to salvation only they know the truth and everyone else is just wrong it amuses me that only when we realize that we know nothing only when we are empty of pride and willfulness that we can truly see see that freedom is the key seeking knowledge is the true path to happiness sharing space and time with an entity does not entitle us to their freedom nor them to ours It is what it is and it will last while it lasts to artificially stimulate its continuance beyond its lifespan is cheating cheating you cheating them that is not to say it is wrong to nurture these encounters because they are what give most of us purpose but to keep kicking a long dead fire in hopes of a new spark is just silly sometimes the fire never goes out and in those cases it is imperative that we feed it keep it happy keep it fulfilled keep it satisfied because there will come a time when it is cold and dark and that flame will be the only thing that keeps you in this mortal coil.
