Poll Violence : (Disturbing Visual) 06 Apr, Rangpo : SDF youth Sanjay Gurung was brutally trashed by miscreants last night due to which he sustained major injures near Namthang. According to complainant, victim and four SDF supporters were moving from Mamring to Namthang in evening, at the place called Tek English Bhir from opposite direction another vehicle bearing SKM flag arrived and blocked the road. Victim part allege that SKM youths in vechile started abusing them, having been suspected that they may attack the SDF youth alleges that they fled from the place but unfortunately Sanjay Gurung was left back who was badly trashed. Since injuries were serious the victim from namthang PHC was referred from Namchi then to Siliguri. The eyewitness Joseph Lepcha of SDF party lodged a written complaint at Namthang PS claiming three known person of SKM and five masked person. It is also said that culprits are being arrested after identification by Joseph Lepcha and the vehicle used in crime scene is under seize by Namthang Police.
