Polling arrangement for 280 surrendered ultras made MU NEWS/IMPHAL, April 7 : A total of 280 surrendered militants out of 2089 cadres camping across 14 designated camps in Manipur following a suspension of operations with the government are likely to cast their votes as the authority has made necessary arrangements for the ensuing polling of the outer Manipur parliamentary constituency on April 9, according to state election authority. The 14 designated camps were located in Churachandpur(7), Chandel(3) and Senapati(4) districts. The step has been after the election commission of India accepted the proposal of allowing the surrendered militants in the designated camps to participate in the lok sabha election this time.
