Polls that say they have a margin of error of 3.XX% are totally crap. Statistics, being what they are, especially when applied to polls means that, really.... polls have a margin of error of + or - 100% ... but as they are using scientific methods, its really a margin of error of 100%. The only truly accurate poll is on election day, and provided there is no cheating or manipulation, it is 100% accurate.... All polls before the election are not worth the paper they are written on. For example, they have modifiers... meaning, if their last poll had Labour at 23% and 28% of those they polled said they were voting Labour... they only increase the percentage for Labour slightly, or their last poll would be too far out of whack... this is why they have a margin of error... they adjust the figures to closely tally with their last poll....
