Pongsaklek voted all time greatest WBC flyweight. Thailand’s boxing hero Ponksaklek Wonjongkam has been voted one of the greatest champions in the history of the WBC . Poksaklek and another 32 “greatest” boxers will have their picture appear on the famous WBC world championship green belt. The selection process for the elite 32 all time greatest champions in the boxing ring were voted by boxing fans worldwide, through media selections and nominations from WBC Board of Governors. In all a total of 85,000 votes determined the greatest 32 champions. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said: “I am extremely proud that the new WBC green and gold belt will have Pongsaklek Wonjongkam in the flyweight division. “Pongsaklek was without a question one of my father’s favorite champions.” The 32 boxers voted as the “greatest” ever WBC boxing champions are: Heavyweight: Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis Cruiserweight: Evander Holyfield, Juan Carlos Comez Light Heavyweight: Roy Jones Jr., Michael Spinks Super Middleweight: Joe Calzache, Nigel Benn Middleweight: Marvin Hagler, Carlos Monzon Super Welterweight: Oscar De La Hoya, Thomas Hearns Welterweight: Ray Leonard, Jose Napoles Super Lightweight: Julio Cesar Chavez, Kostya Tszyu Lightweight: Roberto Duran, Pernell Whitaker Super Featherweight: Alexis Arguello, Azuma Nelson Featherweight: Salvador Sanchez, Jeff Fenech Super bantamweight: Eric Morales, Wilfredo Gomez Batamweight: Eder Jofre, Carlos Zarate Super flyweight: Gilberto Roman, Sun Kil Moon Flyweight: Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, Miguel Canto Straweight: Hideyuki Dhashi, Ricardo Lopez
