Poor Charley. I received a call from the vets office this morning. Turns out the office mistakenly forgot to draw blood for a DNA test that the Morris Animal Foundation wanted as part of its Lifetime Golden Retriever study. They asked if I could bring him back in for a quick draw of blood. But just a short time later they called again. Said the Foundation needs EVERYTHING done over again. Hair samples, urine samples, stool samples, blood samples, nail samples ... (Oh, by the way, it was fun collecting a urine sample in freezing rain the other day!). I told the technician that SHE gets to tell Charley the reason he has to be poked and clipped again because I wasnt going to do it.
