Poor Shelby was becoming so sad at the shelter that one of our awesome volunteer trainers stepped up to give her a mini break from her cage for a few days. Shell be back at DCACC on our adoption floor after a little kennel respite. Meet Shelby our resident MUSH! This girl is a snuggle bug. Shelby was previously adopted but was returned due to differences in personality between her and the dog in the home. Because of that we are recommending that Shelby be the only dog in her new home. Shelby is a little down in the dumps since being returned to the shelter, weve tried to tell her that this is temporary and that her new family is coming soon, but she is ready to go home NOW! Shelby does enjoy her walks and perks right up with a spring in her step and her stubby tail wagging non-stop when you take her out. Shelby is strong, and she will need an owner that can handle her pulling until she learns not to do that. Shelby enjoys chasing squirrels up trees, so if you need some squirrel patrol in your yard, Shelby would be up for the job! If she seems a little aloof when you first meet her, please dont fret, that is common in dogs that are feeling down in the shelter.
