Pope Francis: Calling all Crusaders (of the United Nations?) The horrible genocide of various non-Islamic ethnic and religious groups (Christians) in Iraq prompts the Pontiff, Pope Francis, to make a rare plea, not normally heard, not even before World War II. But there is a caveat here which must be revealed. Pope Francis would prefer that the United Nations take the action he believes is necessary to stop the genocide of Christians and others in Iraq, rather than the United States. This could be a cause for some controversy, as Im afraid that the Pontiffs request may be disturbing on many levels to some people.
