Pope Francis has appointed as Auxiliary Bishops of Melbourne, the Rev. Mgr Terence Curtin and the Rev. Fr Mark Stuart Edwards OMI: bit.ly/1zzSXBm Mgr Curtin is currently parish priest of Greythorn and the Episcopal Vicar for the Eastern Region of the Archdiocese of Melbourne. He will be the Auxiliary Bishop for the Northern Region. Fr Edwards is presently rector of Iona College in Brisbane. He will work in the Eastern Region. The Episcopal Ordination of the bishops-elect will take place at St Patrick’s Cathedral, East Melbourne on Wednesday 17 December at 7.30pm. All are invited to attend this significant diocesan occasion and are asked to keep the bishops in your prayers. The bishops will commence in their regions in January 2015.
