Popped this in for the first time last night and I can honestly, without the slightest hesitation say, NIRVANA (1997) is now easily among my personal favorite science-fiction thrillers of ANY decade! This sweet slice of Italian cyberpunk cinema starring veteran American cult actor of HIGHLANDER fame, Christopher Lambert has been compared to others of a similar nature, such as and most obviously, BLADE RUNNER (1982). In my opinion, however, this Euro-oddity is somewhat ahead of its time also and is its own bizarre beast as well in many respects. Why it isnt better known among sci-fi enthusiasts or has a larger cult following is beyond me! Also with Diego Abatantuono, Sergio Rubini, Stefania Rocca, Hal Yamanouchi, Amanda Sandrelli, and Emmanuelle Seigner.
