#Poroshenko asks #Belarus to help arrange trilateral meeting of Donbas contact group in #Minsk. President of #Ukraine Piotr Poroshenko called Belarusian head of state Alexander #Lukashenko to ask to engage Belarus as a negotiating platform to solve the Ukrainian crisis. The telephone conversation between the presidents of the two states took place on 29 July at the initiative of the Ukrainian side. Poroshenko has announced his appeal to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko for assistance in arranging a meeting in Minsk on July 31 of the trilateral contact group on the settlement of the situation in Donbas, including second president of [independent] Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, Russian Ambassador Mikhail Zurabov and an #OSCE representative. President of Belarus agreed with this initiative. The agenda of the meeting will include 2 issues: the release of all people that are held as hostages by the militants, and the admission of international experts to the place of Malaysian airlines #MH17 crash.
