Previous experience with PFC is not required. New players are welcome to try out for any of these teams. Players should wear athletic clothing, shin pads and cleats. There is no cost to try out and players must attend at least one tryout to be considered for the team. Players are encouraged to attend both tryouts if at all possible. If your child is interested in playing competitive soccer and he/she does not fit into these age ranges, please contact Rob Scott for further information. If we get significant interest at a particular age, then we will look at offering a team at that level. There has been some discussion within the community about possibly fielding teams for U8 Boys, U10 Girls, and U15 Boys. At the moment, we do not have enough player interest to generate a tryout nor a coach in place. In the event that one or more of these teams is created, tryouts will be held at a later date for that team(s). In addition, if you are interested in coaching and/or taking coaching courses, please contact me to express your interest in doing so. PFC plays in SOSA league from the beginning of June to the end of August. Depending on the teams entered by other clubs, opponents range from Brockville (St. Lawrence United), Kingston (Cataraqui Clippers, Kingston United, Pegasus), Napanee, Picton (Prince Edward County), Belleville, and Trenton (Quinte West). Game nights are scheduled for the same weeknight each week. Coaches typically schedule 1 practice on another weeknight. There are no games or practices on weekends unless a team is entered in a tournament. If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please read the attached letter or contact Rob Scott at [email protected] or 613-273-4543 Thanks and hope to see you at the field on the 28th of September.
