Position Available New England Mercantile Group, LLC (Berlin, Connecticut) Database / Systems Administrator — F/T or P/T New England Mercantile Group has an exciting opportunity for a Database / Systems Analyst to join our growing team. In this position, you will be a key player with responsibilities in the areas of sales channel management, operations management, and computer systems. A high level of expertise in Excel (spreadsheet program) and a good command of Access (database software) is absolutely required. Coursework or experience in server and network management would also be valued. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Position Responsibilities: • Manage company’s databases and complex Excel files (related to sales channel uploads, inventory management, procurement and logistics, fulfillment and customer service etc. etc.) • Manage multiple custom website back-ends and intranet operations. This also involves coordination with programmers / graphic designers; understanding of HTML / web design helpful • Skills permitting, assist in the management of company’s Server / Network Qualifications / Attributes of a Successful Candidate: • Expertise in MS Excel and Access 2010; Knowledge of SQL • Experience and interest in Server and Network management would be a plus • Strong interest in computer systems, applications, and devices. Desire, Willingness, and Ability to quickly learn new applications and systems • Friendly and Team Oriented; Strong Communication Skills • Detail Oriented; Driven by Excellence; Seeks Challenge • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, problem solve, and exercise sound judgment • NEMG would prefer someone with university-level coursework in MIS / Computer Science / Business.
