Position: Full Time AutoCAD / Drafter / Designer Area: Northwest Houston Submit resumes and salary requirements to: resume2014mjs@gmail Summary of position: Company specializing in hydraulic power units seeking an intermediate level drafter who understands the structural manufacturing process including general metal working, welding, fitment, etc. with stainless and carbon steel applications. The qualified person will utilize AutoCAD Inventor 2013 and AutoCAD to model and detail projects as assigned; verify that parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies can be built as modeled with structural and sheet metal parts; and will review drawings to verify that they are drawn and detailed to specifications. They will also work with project managers to estimate design and drafting times, and communicate same with the customer as required. Position Details and Knowledge Requirements: • Proficiency with AutoCAD Inventor 2013 and AutoCAD in design and drafting to develop schematics, 3D models, and 2D drawings from both verbal ideas and customer drawings • Working knowledge and proficient in Word and Excel • Generate BOM’s • Prepare preliminary drafts, detailed release drawings, and master drawings for fabrication • Respond to questions pertaining to drawings • Experience with low and high pressure fluid handling systems, steel fabrication, and assembly strongly preferred • Contribute to product improvement and development • Other duties as assigned • Self-motivated with good work ethics • Ability to perform stress analysis and verify center of gravity • Ability to transform spatial concepts to print • Requires minimal supervision • Ability to interface with customers, co-workers, and shop personnel on a professional level • Ability to multitask and meet scheduled completion dates • Identify potential problems and take appropriate actions to have them resolved • Be a team player assisting in improvement of products, services, and documentation processes • Strong communication skills with English as a first language • Knowledge of hydraulic circuitry a bonus • Ordering of parts • Degree preferred but not mandatory • 2 years minimum manufacturing design experience • Knowledge of inFlow Inventory software a plus
