OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: Under the overall supervision of the Supplier Stock Monitor, the incumbent will be required to work as a member of a team of Engineers and Administrative staff for the successful implementation of all of the MMU project activities. GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Purpose and Scope of Assignment: -Assist in maintaining material inventory list by conducting as a minimum one monthly physical investigation per supplier; reconciling variances between delivery notes or invoices in/out, verifies accuracy of incoming shipments, packing process; tracks orders and investigates any problems may raise. -Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system. -Assist in monitoring Supplier`s storage process, loading, warehouse security, storage area to comply with international storage principles and instruct for any recommended improvements,. -Assist in performing routine clerical duties, including data entry and filling. -Assist in Overseeing truck loading operations to ensure all policies and procedures are followed accordingly. -Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Education: -Bachelor`s degree or equivalent in Engineering/Construction other related. Work Experience: -Minimum 5 years of experience in knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. -Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data. -Database management skills. -Ability to analyse and solve problems. -Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. -Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods. -Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills. -Knowledge of construction suppliers invoicing procedures. Key Competencies: -Personal interest, commitment, efficiency, flexibility and willingness to work in a highly motivated team of professionals. -Attention to Detail -Integrity -Judgment and Decision Making -High proficiency with computers in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and the Internet -High organizational skills -Able to work efficiently with minimal direction. -A strong work ethic, prepared to work additional hours to ensure timely delivery. -Ability to adapt to difficult working environment, under pressure and with limited timeframes. -Planning and Organizing - Ability to plan work assignments, juggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines, and with minimal direction/supervision. -Teamwork - Experience supporting teams in a complex multi-national, multi-cultural environment is required. Languages: -Fluency in Arabic is essential. Intermediate English language skills.
