Position: VB.NET, ASP.NET Developer Location: Toronto Contract: 5 Months Key deliverables to be performed by the Programmer/Developer include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop C#, VB.NET, code in Visual Studio 2005/ 2008 / 2010 environment to implement application enhancements as per design document Document code changes as per existing documentation standards. Perform unit testing of code Work with design team to clarify, suggest, and recommend implantation approach Work with testers and resolve issues Maintain defects log in Bugzilla and HP Quality Center Perform knowledge transfer to the Ministry staff. Skills and Experience: Based on the scope, the Programmer/Developer must have a minimum of 5+ years of the following skills and experience: Extensive experience in developing code for reports and other enhancements to systems using C#, Crystal Reports, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Oracle. Extensive experience in testing reports and other enhancements to systems using Crystal Reports, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Oracle. Experience in developing, testing, debugging programs to process XML files Experience in gathering and documenting requirements from business analysts and subject matter experts for reports and other enhancements to web based systems Experience in analysing requirements in order to determine functional requirements for reports and other enhancements to the web based systems Experience in writing specifications for development of reports and other enhancements to systems using Crystal Reports, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Oracle, C#, Entity Framework, LINQ Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision making capabilities.
